Ingredients:
- 4 Apples, sliced
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 1 Celery Stalk, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup Watkins Garlic & Herb Seasoning + 1 tablespoon
- 1 Bone-In Boston Butt Pork Roast (3-4 lbs)
- 3/4 cup Water or Vegetable Broth
- BBQ Sauce (varieties of your choice, or try apple butter sauce)
Instructions:
- Begin by slicing your apples, onion, and celery.
- Coat the sliced apples, onion, and celery with just enough BBQ sauce to toss in. Add about a tablespoon of the Garlic & Herb seasoning and toss well. Set this mixture aside.
- Trim the pork roast and then coat it generously with maple syrup.
- Cover the pork roast in the remaining Garlic & Herb seasoning, patting it to ensure an even coating.
- Place half of the apple, onion, and celery mixture into the bottom of your slow cooker. Add water or vegetable broth.
- Position the pork roast on top of the apples and veggies, and then add the remaining apple mixture on top.
- Set your slow cooker to low heat and let it work its magic for 8-10 hours or until the pork easily pulls apart with two forks.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it apart. Drain the liquid from the slow cooker and return the pulled pork.
- Add your choice of BBQ sauce to the pulled pork and mix well. Get ready to enjoy!

- 1 Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 4 Apples sliced
- 1 Onion sliced
- 1 Celery Stalk sliced thin
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup Watkins Garlic & Herb seasoning + 1 tablespoon
- 1 Bone-In Boston Butt Pork Roast 3-4lb
- 3/4 cup Water or Vegetable Broth
- BBQ Sauce we've used many different bbq sauces. we've also used apple butter sauce. all options are tasty.
Instructions
- Slice up your apples, onion, and celery.
- Coat apples, onion, and celery in just enough bbq sauce to toss in. Add about a tablespoon on seasoning and toss well. Set aside.
- Trim pork roast.
- Coat pork roast well in maple syrup.
- Cover Pork roast in seasoning and pat to coat.
- Place half of your apple, onion, and celery mixture into the bottom of your slow cooker. Add water/vegetable broth.
- Put the pork on top of apples and veggies and add the remaining apple mixture on top.
- Slow cook on low for 8-10 hours or until pork pulls apart easily with two forks.
- Remove pork from slow cooker and pull apart. Drain liquid from slow cooker and replace pulled pork.
- Add bbq sauce and enjoy!
