Ingredients:

  • Organic almonds
  • Cold spring water
  • Optional additions (e.g., sweeteners, vanilla extract, dates)

Equipment:

Instructions:

1. Soak Almonds: Begin by placing your organic almonds in a bowl. Cover them with water and let them soak overnight or for at least 8 hours. This soaking process softens the almonds and reduces their natural bitterness.

2. Drain and Blend: Once your almonds are adequately soaked, drain the water and add the almonds to a high-speed blender.

3. Add Water and Optional Ingredients: Pour in cold spring water, adjusting the quantity to achieve your desired consistency. If you’d like to enhance the flavor, consider adding sweeteners like honey, a touch of vanilla extract, or some pitted dates for natural sweetness.

4. Blend: Hit the blender’s high-speed setting and let it work its magic for about 1.5 to 2 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the mixture turns into a creamy almond milk.

5. Strain: To separate the liquid from any remaining almond particles, grab a nut bag or cheesecloth and place it over a bowl. Carefully pour the almond mixture into the bag and squeeze it tightly to strain the milk, making sure to extract every last drop.

6. Store: Transfer your freshly made organic almond milk to an airtight glass container. Pop it into the refrigerator, where it will stay fresh and delicious for up to 3 days.

Benefits of Organic Almond Milk:

Using organic almonds in your almond milk not only guarantees a pesticide-free product but also supports sustainable farming practices. It’s a win-win for your health and the planet!
