Equipment:

Ingredients:

  • Eggs, as many as you please (any size, any color, any brand; I use large organic brown eggs)

Instructions:

  1. Arrange your eggs in the bottom of a pot. Make sure they have enough room to sit without being crowded.
  2. Fill your pot with cold water until it reaches about 1 inch above the eggs.
  3. Set the pot over high heat and bring to a boil.
  4. Immediately after a rolling boil begins, cover the pot with a lid and remove it from the heat.
  5. Set a timer for 10 minutes.
  6. Prepare an ice bath prior to your timer going off (this step is crucial).
  7. Once 10 minutes have passed, transfer eggs with a slotted spoon to the ice bath and let them rest for 20 minutes.
  8. Peel and enjoy… or pack in Hubby’s lunch like I do!
  9. If you’re planning on storing, place them in a sealed container and store in the fridge for up to a week!

Cooking Tips:

  • Remove from heat and cover as soon as it hits a rolling boil. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • For Soft boiled eggs – 6 minutes.
  • For Medium boiled eggs – 8 minutes.
